Because he cares about your portrait requirements, Alan spends a short period of time prior to your portrait shoot to discuss clothing and make up requirements. Our desire is to bring your family in the portrait together as a work that will enhance your home. In the Studio, a formal or contemporary setting is provided, however other options include at your home or a pre-arranged venue or in a park, garden or beach.

Organising Your Portrait Session

Home sessions are very popular as all your clothing is handy and available – it's hard to forget anything when you’re home. The session would take place after the lighting has been set up along with any background that is required. It is important to have the desired background that works for your portrait. We usually visit the location before the shoot to ensure everything will work, as unexpected delays on the day can ruin the shoot.

For home portraits indoors, the optimal room size needs to be approximately 4m wide by 4-5m in length for average size families of 4 to 5 people. This is especially so when activity and movement is required in the shoot. However, in some cases smaller areas can be used.

The Viewing Session

An initial Viewing will be held at the studio. We need to show you the images and the options available to enhance those images with digital art. We will demonstrate how images can be fused, merged, printed, cropped, displayed etc. and any questions you may have will be answered. This part of post processing of images takes place when you purchase an image and is done entirely by your preference.

We can also advise on canvas printing as well as portrait print framing options. Further enhancement may be done prior to printing if required.

Orders can be placed at this time, and all orders will require a 50% deposit. Once processed and printed, your order will be sent upon payment of any outstanding amounts.

We will bring out the beauty in you, close up and personal!

Your hair style will be important along with makeup ..and after digital post processing you will have a set of exciting images to choose from. You may wish to bring your own stylist. A variety of tops will enhance your portrait look, so bring your suitcase of clothes, including your favourite jeans, along with earrings, necklaces and your favourite hat, cap, scarf etc. Keep your colours bright and bold, don't hold back!

All final images selected by you are processed and enhanced before you receive them.
